Once upon a time I was a talented artist. I painted a number of things for my family; my parents still have the large portrait of young Simba from The Lion King that I drew, inked, and painted back when I was in elementary school (you wouldn't have guessed it was done by a little kid). While in high school I drew the cartoons in each issue of our newspaper. I even did a few comical illustrations for it. It was pretty fun, but somewhere along the way I just stopped drawing and stopped thinking about it.

Well, today I got ambitious and did a quick sketch of Ryou's face (the Second Life/fursona version). I even inked it. He looks like a drunken hippy by my hand. As soon as I get around to acquiring a scanner (okay, I have one, but I'm too lazy to hook it up and such because I rarely even bothered to use it when I had it attached to my old computer) I'll upload this travesty so you may all laugh at me.

This is why I stick to screenshots and story uploads.

I'm sure I'll get back into drawing. I just have to relearn my style, or refine what I used to have. Colouring, however, is a different story for now lol.
